Welcome! Hand-made All of Sarah's reeds are made personally by Sarah on a schedule designed to promote the best quality and longest life of the reed. Please allow at least one week before I ship your order. (Order before Monday, and the reeds should be shipped by Saturday). American Style  Because of the gouge, which is used by Dr. Nancy Ambrose-King, Sarah's oboe reeds are more open, demand more air, and produce a darker sound. They are appropriate for all makes and models of oboes, but please inquire for specialized reeds for Lorée or AK Lorée's, if you desire. Oboe Reeds These are made with hand-selected French cane, gouged on an RDG machine, and shaped with a Caleb tip. I use Pisoni 47mm staples. English Horn Reeds These are made with hand-selected French cane. I am currently experimenting with gouge and shape and am also trying different staples.
